Friends of Bhutan Association, Austria

The Friends of Bhutan Austria Association contributes to a partnership between Austria and Bhutan based on mutual respect and appreciation which continues to grow and thrive also in the future. We want the small Himalayan kingdom, its culture and people to be better known in Austria and thus we strive to foster and promote the mutual exchange between the two countries.

Moreover, we support social, cultural, and medical projects in Bhutan.

Austria and Bhutan have been linked by ties of friendship which have become stronger and stronger over the years. Besides the bilateral and diplomatic relations which were established in 1989,  it is in particular the initiatives of civil society which create sustainable contacts and forge a lively and vibrant network between the two countries.
